Great Barrington, MA

Purchased in 2018, 910 Main Street will be developed for 45-50 affordable rental units. CDCSB is partnering on the project with Way Finders, Inc. of Springfield, a large nonprofit housing agency and developer with many projects throughout western Massachusetts. Approximately 10% of the units are expected to be market rate units. Two acres of the 9-acre site will be developed, with the remaining land placed in permanent conservation. The site is on public transportation and is within walking distance to the downtown business district, grocery stores, major employers, medical and veterinary offices, and cultural and recreational amenities. The project will be in permitting in the fall of 2018 in preparation for Low Income Housing Tax Credit funding applications to the state in February 2019.
