Community Investment Tax Credit Program
We are a part of the CITC (Community Investment Tax Credit) Program.
When individuals, businesses or nonprofits make a donation of $1,000 or more to the CDC, they receive 50% of that donation back in the form of a tax credit on their Massachusetts tax return. Those without a tax liability in Massachusetts receive the credit in the form of a refund. The entire donation is eligible for the Federal Charitable Tax Deduction on federal tax returns, making the final out-of-pocket expense for your donation roughly 1/3 of the donation amount!
This article from MACDC explains the positive impact the program has had in its first 3 years.
