Join us for a very special event – a virtual lecture and live, online Q & A with Rufus Jones, President and founder of the James Weldon Johnson Foundation in Great Barrington.

This lecture features the extraordinary home and life of James Weldon Johnson. An author, educator, lawyer, diplomat, songwriter, and civil rights activist, James Weldon Johnson became the first black executive secretary of the NAACP, 1920-1930. Johnson was also a major figure of the Harlem Renaissance, writing poems, novels, and anthologies.
