What is the Community Investment Tax Credit (CITC)?
The Massachusetts Community Investment Tax Credit (CITC) provides a 50% state tax rebate for donations to CDCSB of $1,000 or more. Individuals, businesses, non-profits, and out-of-state residents can all take advantage of this program.

How does it work?
- Make a donation of at least $1,000 to CDCSB online or by sending a check to CDCSB PO Box 733 Great Barrington, MA 01230.
- CDCSB creates an online account in Massachusetts’s CITC system and you will receive an email to log in.
- You fill out a quick and easy online form that takes approximately 5-8 minutes.
- CDCSB verifies your form.
- You receive a certificate 4 to 6 weeks after your submit your portion of the form that you will file with your state taxes.
If you are not an MA resident you will receive a check in the mail from the state for the amount of your tax credit.
The total donation qualifies for the Federal Charitable Tax Deduction.
