Community At Bat

The Community Development Corporation of South Berkshire is hosting its first Community At Bat, a charity softball game to take place on Sunday October 22, 2017 at 1pm at Memorial Field on Bridge Street in Great Barrington. Proceeds will support the CDCSB’s work in creating affordable housing in the Berkshire. It will be a fun Sunday afternoon of slow pitch softball, snacks, and friends.

Representative Smitty Pignatelli, will be the game day announcer, and Senator Adam Hinds and Great Barrington Town Manager Jennifer Tabakin will be the team captains. Taylor Slonaker, a student at Monument Mountain Regional High School, will sing the National Anthem. There will be a raffle for personal training sessions, wine, and movie passes. The CDC of South Berkshire will be giving away free boxes of Cracker Jacks to the first 50 spectators. We invite community members to take part in the game and to join us as volunteers and spectators. The event is free and open to the public to participate as spectators.

“This event is about bringing the community together for a great cause and raising awareness about the need for affordable housing and jobs,” says CDCSB Executive Director, Tim Geller. “We are excited to host this event and plan to make Community At Bat an annual fall event in the southern Berkshires.”
